A 33-year-old Wayne Township man is facing multiple felony drug charges after authorities say they discovered significant quantities of methamphetamine, other controlled substances and $70,000 in cash during a December search of his home.
Kyle F. Lombel, of Moonhill Drive, was charged by the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office following the execution of a court-authorized search warrant. The search was carried out by the Pennsylvania State Police along with members of the county’s Drug Task Force.
According to investigators, officers seized 52.2 grams of methamphetamine, 5.94 grams of mushrooms containing psilocyn, and five suspected MDMA pills from the residence.
Police also reported finding drug-related paraphernalia, including an electric scale, a digital scale tray, resealable plastic bags and a vacuum sealer. Authorities said they located $70,000 in cash inside the home, which Lombel allegedly admitted were proceeds from methamphetamine sales.
Investigators stated that Lombel acknowledged ownership of the seized contraband and admitted to being involved in methamphetamine distribution for an extended period.
Lombel is charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity and knowledge that property represents proceeds of an illegal act. He also faces misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges were filed through the office of Christian Lengel in Tremont.
