by Amelia Crawford

Ali Rasoulian, a Kurdish man from Bukan, was arrested by Iranian security forces on January 29, 2025, under mysterious circumstances. Despite the passage of three days, there has been no official information released about his whereabouts or the reasons for his arrest.

Reports from the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights indicate that Rasoulian was detained in the early hours of Wednesday, January 29, without the presentation of an arrest warrant. He was taken to an undisclosed location, and his family and close associates have been unable to gather any information about his current status.

As of now, no official statements have been made regarding the charges against Rasoulian or the legal grounds for his detention. His case has raised concerns about the lack of transparency and the apparent violation of legal procedures, as well as ongoing human rights issues in the region.
