A 38-year-old readymade cloth vendor from Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, was arrested by the Adugodi police after investigators traced him in connection with a series of high-end bike thefts.

The accused, identified as Kuppaswamy, allegedly stole a total of 42 bikes, which he sold to his friends and relatives in his hometown. Police recovered all the stolen vehicles during the operation.

According to officials, Kuppaswamy would travel to the city by bus to sell clothes. During his return trips, he reportedly scouted residential areas to identify bikes parked outside homes and stole them.

The investigation is ongoing as police seek to uncover whether others were involved in the theft ring and track additional stolen bikes.
