Nurse's aide faces charges for grand larceny and patient endangerment

by Sophia Bennett

BETHPAGE, NY — A 55-year-old nurse’s aide, Kumarie Nazir, has been arrested for allegedly stealing multiple pieces of jewelry from patients at The Bristol Living Facility in Bethpage. Authorities say Nazir took the jewelry on four different occasions in October.

Nazir is facing serious charges, including grand larceny and endangering the welfare of an incompetent, physically disabled person. The Chief Operating Officer of The Bristol Living Facility expressed that the safety of patients is a priority, and the facility fully cooperated with the police during the investigation.

This incident highlights concerns about theft and safety within healthcare settings, particularly when vulnerable individuals are involved.
