In a significant breakthrough, the Eluru district police have arrested four members of an interstate burglary gang and recovered Rs75 lakh worth of stolen property, including 401 grams of gold and 41 kg of silver ornaments.
The arrests were made following an intensive investigation under the supervision of Eluru DSP D. Shravan Kumar. A special team was formed by Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore, comprising One Town Inspector G. Satyanarayana, Special Branch CI B. Adi Prasad, Crime Branch CI Rajasekhar, Ganapavaram CI M. Subhash, and SIs SK Madina Basha and M. Surya Bhagavan.
Arrested Accused:
Kuldip Sharma – Previously arrested under the POCSO Act.
Manoj Kumar – Involved in several serious crimes in Uttar Pradesh.
Mahender Singh – Connected with theft, arms-related cases, and multiple burglaries in Rajasthan and UP.
Rajesh Kushwaha alias Teetu – Accused in two robbery cases under Eluru One Town PS.
The gang was primarily involved in nighttime house break-ins, carefully targeting locked homes. The accused were produced before the PJCJ Court in Eluru and have been remanded to judicial custody.
SP Shiva Kishore commended the investigation team for their swift and coordinated action in nabbing this high-profile gang.
