SAN ANGELO, Texas — A 23-year-old San Angelo woman has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to a fatal fentanyl overdose that occurred last year.
San Angelo police announced that Krystiana Ratcliffe was taken into custody on Thursday for her alleged role in the death of Izabella Rodriguez, also 23.
In August 2024, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the 2300 block of Southland Blvd. Upon arrival, they found Rodriguez deceased at the scene. Initial findings suggested a possible drug overdose.
Rodriguez’s body was sent to the medical examiner, who later determined the cause of death as “acute intoxication with fentanyl.”
Following a lengthy investigation, authorities concluded that Ratcliffe had allegedly provided Rodriguez with the drugs that led to her death. Police say this directly resulted in Ratcliffe’s murder charge.
She is now facing a serious legal battle as prosecutors move forward with the case.
