Pattaya — Police have arrested two Thai men in connection with a burglary at a luxury home in the Phra Tamnak area where high-value watches worth more than 6.4 million baht were stolen.

Officers from the Pattaya City Police detained the suspects, identified as Kritsaphong, 26, and Nakarin, 28, on March 9.

The arrests followed a burglary reported on March 2 by Natthaporn, 30, who lives at the property with her foreign husband and their daughter. She told investigators that two intruders wearing balaclavas climbed over a wall to enter the residence before stealing several valuables.

Among the items taken were a Patek Philippe watch valued at approximately 6 million baht and a Rolex watch worth around 400,000 baht.

Police said CCTV footage from the area helped investigators identify a vehicle believed to have been used during the burglary and the suspects’ escape. Follow-up inquiries led officers to a house in Nong Prue, where both suspects were arrested.

During questioning, the men allegedly confessed and told police they had sold the stolen watches to cover personal expenses. Authorities said the Rolex was sold in Bangkok for 55,000 baht, while the Patek Philippe was sold to a second-hand shop in Pattaya for 110,000 baht.

Police later recovered the Patek Philippe watch from the shop, and it is currently being processed for formal seizure before being returned to its owner.

Investigators also took the suspects back to the crime scene to re-enact the alleged burglary. Both men now face charges of jointly committing theft in a dwelling at night, and the case has been forwarded for legal proceedings.

In a separate incident in Bangkok, police are also investigating a case where an air-conditioning technician allegedly stole a Rolex watch valued at about 250,000 baht during a service visit and pawned it the following day for 80,000 baht.
