ELKINS — Kristin Michelle Wilburn, 34, entered a plea agreement last week in Randolph County Circuit Court after being arrested on drug charges in July 2024.

Appearing before Judge Jayme Wilfong on May 29 with attorney Alex Harclerode, Wilburn pled guilty to one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one felony count of conspiracy. She is currently held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

Wilburn faces a prison sentence ranging from one to 15 years and fines up to $25,000 for possession with intent to deliver. For conspiracy, she faces one to five years in prison and fines up to $10,000.

Initially, Wilburn was indicted on two counts of possession with intent to deliver, one count of conspiracy, and one misdemeanor count for maintaining a place for drug use or sale.

The charges stem from a July 29, 2024, raid by the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force at the home of Timothy Lee Summerfield. Officers discovered drug paraphernalia, suspected controlled substances, baggies, scales, cutting agents, and cash. Summerfield remains in custody.

In a Mirandized interview, Wilburn admitted living at Summerfield’s residence for several months and selling heroin for about a month. She said she and Summerfield sold drugs to support her habit and used her vehicle to pick up drugs, including 25 grams purchased for $70 per gram in Morgantown.

Wilburn’s sentencing is scheduled for July 17.
