Kristen Pugh Charged in Laurel Stolen Vehicle Case

Bowie woman arrested June 14, released same day

LAUREL, Md. — A Bowie woman was arrested on the night of Saturday, June 14, 2025, after Anne Arundel County police say she was caught driving a stolen vehicle in the 3500 block of Laurel Ft. Meade Road.

According to police, officers on patrol located the vehicle around 10:20 p.m. after confirming it had been reported stolen. The driver, identified as Kristen Renay Pugh, 32, of Bowie, was taken into custody without incident.

Pugh has been charged with:

Felony unlawful taking of a motor vehicle

Attempted theft between $1,500 and $25,000 (a misdemeanor)

Court records indicate that Pugh was released on her own recognizance the same day. The investigation is being managed by the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District.
