Krista Stewart Arrested for Identity Theft Using Stolen Credit Card

Greece Police Charge Rochester Woman in Credit Card Theft Case

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Greece Police Department arrested 60-year-old Krista Stewart of Rochester on August 18, charging her with identity theft and possession of stolen property for using a stolen credit card.

The incident began on September 30, 2024, when a wallet was stolen from an assisted care room at a facility on Long Pond Boulevard while the victim was hospitalized. The victim’s credit card was later used at a store on Lyell Avenue.

Investigators identified Stewart as the person who used the stolen card at an ATM through surveillance footage and witness statements.

Following her arrest, Stewart was charged with second-degree identity theft and fourth-degree possession of stolen property. She was booked and then released on an Appearance Ticket.
