Krishnaveni Murdered by Husband Brahmaiah in Hyderabad

Marital dispute leads to tragic death in KSR Nagar

by Ananya Mehta

In a shocking incident in Hyderabad’s Ameenpur area, Krishnaveni (37) was allegedly beaten to death by her husband, Brahmaiah, following a suspected marital dispute. The tragedy occurred on Sunday at the couple’s residence in KSR Nagar, where they lived with their two children—a daughter pursuing Intermediate studies and a son in Class 8.

Krishnaveni, employed as an Assistant Manager with Kohir DCCB Bank, and Brahmaiah, who worked in real estate, reportedly had frequent arguments over suspicions of extramarital affairs. On Sunday afternoon, a quarrel escalated, and Brahmaiah allegedly struck Krishnaveni on the head with a cricket bat, killing her instantly.

The deceased’s mother lodged a complaint, prompting the police to register a case and launch an investigation into the brutal incident.

Authorities note that domestic violence-related murders have been reported in the region before. Earlier this year, a 21-year-old pregnant woman, Swathi, was allegedly killed by her husband in Boduppal, Hyderabad, following repeated marital disputes. In another case in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district, a woman was tied to a pole and assaulted by relatives over alleged infidelity.

Police are investigating whether there were additional circumstances leading to Krishnaveni’s murder and are questioning neighbors and family members to piece together the events leading up to the crime.
