Kosciusko County, Ind. (WSBT) – Demarcus Bulger, a man from Kosciusko County, was arrested after allegedly stealing 91 lottery tickets from the Pak-A-Sak gas station in Warsaw. The tickets were worth thousands of dollars in winnings.
The incident came to light when a manager at the gas station confronted Bulger, who was an employee at the time, about the theft of $250 worth of lottery tickets back in October. According to court documents, Bulger paid the manager the $250 and then turned in his keys, leaving the store.
Upon reviewing the store’s surveillance footage, it was discovered that Bulger had stolen tickets on two separate occasions in September. In total, 91 tickets were taken, and several of those tickets turned out to be winners. The total value of the stolen tickets, including the wrongful payments, amounted to $4,520.
Bulger is now facing two charges of theft in connection with the stolen lottery tickets from the two separate incidents. The case highlights the ongoing issue of employee theft and its significant impact on businesses and their operations.
