Koom Kalan police have busted a gang allegedly involved in stealing electrical wires, arresting three suspects and recovering 16.5 kg of copper wire along with a motorcycle.

The arrests were made following a tip-off to the Katani Kalan police post. The accused have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh and Goldy Singh, both residents of Sudawal, and Satbir Singh. The operation was led by Koom Kalan SHO Inspector Paramdeep Singh.

Police investigations revealed that the gang specialised in stealing electrical wiring from water motors installed in fields across Sahnewal, Ramgarh, and Koom Kalan areas. Authorities believe the proceeds from these thefts were used to fund the suspects’ drug habits. Further disclosures regarding other thefts in the region are expected as questioning continues.
