In a joint operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force (West Zone) and Musheerabad police arrested Konakanchi Kiran Kumar, 30, a resident of Yousufguda, for allegedly duping unemployed youth by posing as a government official.

Kumar is accused of cheating at least five young individuals, including Jerupula Subash, Kumar, and Ashiwini, by promising them government jobs in exchange for large sums of money. The victims reportedly paid him over Rs20 lakh combined, trusting his false claims and fake credentials.

The arrest was made after multiple complaints were lodged. During the investigation, authorities found that Kumar used fraudulent methods and false government affiliations to convince his victims. Police say more victims may come forward as the investigation continues.

Officials urge the public to remain cautious of such scams and verify any job-related claims directly with the concerned government departments.
