Mangaluru: Konaje police, in a special anti-drug operation, have arrested 21-year-old Jordan, recovering a significant quantity of MDMA along with related items.
The raid was conducted on February 7 in the Naryagudda hill area of Navagrama site, Balepuni village, Ullal taluk. Officers from Konaje Police Station, supported by the Mangaluru South Sub-Division Anti-Drug Team, acted on credible intelligence regarding suspected narcotics activity in the locality.
Jordan, son of Jeevan and originally from Huligere in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district, was residing in a rented accommodation in Balepuni village at the time of the arrest.
During the search, police recovered:
55 grams of MDMA
1 mobile phone
Digital weighing scale
Additional items believed to be connected with drug distribution
He was taken into custody immediately, and a case has been filed at Konaje Police Station under sections 8(c) and 22(a), (b), (c) of the NDPS Act. Investigators are working to trace the origin of the seized drugs and determine whether Jordan was part of a wider trafficking network.
Police officials emphasized their commitment to eradicating illegal drug trade in the region and urged residents to report any suspicious narcotics activity promptly.
