Kochi’s District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (Dansaf) arrested social media influencer Rinsi Mumtaz (32), a popular YouTuber from Chungam, Kozhikode, along with her associate Yasar Arafat (34) of Kallayi. The duo was caught near Palachuvadu bridge in Vazhakkala with nearly 21 grams of MDMA.

Authorities revealed that Yasar managed the drug network while Rinsi used her social media presence as a cover to supply drugs to potential buyers. The operation was run from a rented flat in Palachuvadu, Kakkanad, registered in Rinsi’s name, which was frequented by suspected clients.

In a separate raid, squad members arrested Mohammed Rafiq (28) of Punalur with 3 grams of MDMA and 27 grams of ganja from Mattummal in Cheranalloor.

These arrests were part of Kerala Police’s D-Hunt operation, aimed at cracking down on narcotics abuse and trafficking. The squad was led by narcotic cell ACP K A Abdul Salam under the supervision of Kochi Police Commissioner Putta Vimaladitya.
