KINSTON, NC — A Kinston man is facing serious drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).
Investigators charged Joshua Farmer, 39, after probing the distribution of fentanyl in Lenoir County, LCSO confirmed.
Farmer was served with an outstanding warrant at the Lenoir County Magistrate’s Office. The charges against him include:
Three counts of Trafficking Opium or Heroin
Conspiracy to Traffic Opium/Heroin
He was held on a $500,000 secured bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
The investigation underscores ongoing efforts to combat the opioid crisis impacting Lenoir County.
