Kinston Man Arrested on Multiple Fraud and Marijuana Charges

26-year-old Johnson caught with drugs and felony warrants in fraud case

KINSTON — On June 14, officers from the Kinston Police Department’s B-Squad located and arrested 26-year-old Johnson on West New Bern Road in connection with a 2024 fraud investigation.

Johnson was taken into custody without incident and served with eight outstanding felony warrants related to fraud.

During the arrest, police discovered over 30 grams of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia, resulting in additional charges including Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Manufacture of Marijuana, Aggravated Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
