Kinston Man Al Gilchrist Arrested for Stolen HVAC Unit Theft

Al Gilchrist Faces Felony Charges in HVAC Theft Case

A 39-year-old Kinston man, Al Gilchrist, was arrested on Friday, February 21, in connection with the theft of an HVAC unit.

The Kinston Police Department (KPD) D-Squad responded to the 300 block of Boy Scout Blvd. after receiving reports of a theft in progress. Officers were given a description of the suspect and their vehicle while en-route. Upon locating the vehicle, authorities identified Gilchrist as the driver.

Further investigation led officers to execute a search warrant at Gilchrist’s residence, where they recovered the stolen HVAC unit. Gilchrist was arrested and booked into the Lenoir County Jail on the following charges:

Felony Conspiracy
Felony Larceny
Possession of Stolen Property
Injury to Real Property
This case is still under investigation by local authorities.
