The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) arrested three individuals on September 5, 2025, after discovering cannabis at Charlestown Pier and Craddock Road, Nevis.
During an observation exercise at Charlestown Pier, officers detected a strong cannabis odor coming from Kimo Sancho of Craddock Road, who had just disembarked from the motor vessel Lady-B. Suspecting possession of controlled drugs, arms, and ammunition, officers stopped Sancho and conducted a search of his belongings. A quantity of suspected cannabis was found in his bag, leading to his arrest and custody at Charlestown Police Station.
Later that day, officers executed a search warrant at Sancho’s Craddock Road residence. Present at the scene were Kurt Garnette Sr. and Kurt Garnette Jr. During the search, police discovered 65 cannabis plants growing in flower pots in the yard. The Crime Scene Unit processed the site, uprooted the plants, and took them into custody along with the three men.
On September 6, 2025, charges were filed at Cotton Ground Police Station:
Kimo Sancho was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation of cannabis.
Kurt Garnette Sr. and Kurt Garnette Jr. were both charged with obstruction and battery on police.
The RSCNPF reiterated its dedication to safeguarding communities by enforcing drug laws and maintaining public safety. The police also expressed gratitude for the continued support and cooperation of the public.
