GRAYTON, Fla. — A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of Lululemon merchandise from multiple stores, authorities said.
According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, staff at Grand Boulevard maintenance discovered a bag containing anti-theft devices and a Publix receipt, which helped investigators track the suspect. Using the receipt and FLOCK data, authorities determined the woman had visited Lululemon stores at Grand Boulevard, Destin Commons, and Grayton.
Store officials confirmed the woman had used anti-theft devices to bypass alarms. When she returned to Grand Boulevard, deputies contacted her and identified her as 36-year-old Kiara Shamboria Simmons of Coconut Creek.
Simmons was found with approximately $2,000 in merchandise, tools to block anti-theft sensors, identification belonging to other women, refund and exchange receipts from Texas, and evidence of suspicious returns to a store in Tennessee.
She was arrested and faces charges including dealing in stolen property, organized retail theft over $750, using an anti-shoplifting control device, and unlawful possession of personal identification information.
Simmons was issued a $10,000 bond, and her phone and other items were seized as evidence. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office said the case appears to be part of a larger multi-state investigation.
