Cambourne man Kiama Guy has been sentenced to five years and ten months in prison for operating a county lines drug network.
Guy, 26, of Royce Street, West Cambourne, was identified by police as the orchestrator of a drug trafficking operation between London, Cambridgeshire, and Milton Keynes. He was arrested on 11 March during Operation Hypernova, a major crackdown on county lines activity.
During his arrest, officers discovered mobile phones used to coordinate drug sales, along with a stash of over £56,000 worth of cannabis, £930 in cash, a luxury Rolex watch, and a £14,000 ring. Drugs including cannabis, MDMA, and cocaine valued at £1,070 were also found in his Nissan Juke.
Further investigations revealed Guy laundered significant sums through cryptocurrency assets worth about £6,000.
At Peterborough Crown Court on 5 June, Guy pleaded guilty to ten offences including possession with intent to supply cocaine and MDMA, and being concerned in the supply of class A, B, and C drugs, as well as concealing criminal property.
Detective Constable Tom Corbett, who led the investigation, stated:
“Through our investigation, we were able to prove that Guy was controlling a drugs line operating across the county. This sentence shows our commitment to bringing individuals involved in county lines to justice.”
Operation Hypernova 3, which ran in March, dismantled 50 county lines and led to 35 individuals being charged with over 100 offences involving drugs and human trafficking.
