Khariar police achieved a major breakthrough by solving a high-value theft case within 24 hours, arresting four accused and recovering stolen property worth over Rs 55 lakh, including cash, gold, and silver items.
The theft occurred on February 16 at the residence of Praveen Agrawal in Ward No. 11, Putupada, while the family was away for Shivratri celebrations. Police teams, led by the district SP, traced leads to a youth from Anchalpura village, who had previously worked at the house. During questioning, he admitted his involvement, helping authorities identify the four main suspects: Bhuleswar Thela, Chudamani Kand, Ganesh Thela, and Hemant Kata.
