BALTIMORE — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 23-year-old Guatemalan national Keycy Robinson Alexis Barrera-Rosa on April 5, 2025, in La Plata, Maryland. Barrera-Rosa is facing charges for the murder of his girlfriend, 23-year-old Lesbia Mileth Ramirez-Guerra, who was also from Guatemala.

Barrera-Rosa’s uncle, 37-year-old Rolvin Eduardo Barrera-Barrera, has been charged by local authorities as an accessory after the fact in connection with the murder.

“The arrest of these two individuals marks a significant step towards justice,” said ICE Baltimore acting Field Office Director Vernon Liggins. “This heinous crime not only devastated a community but also reinforced the urgent need to prioritize public safety by identifying, arresting, and removing egregious illegal aliens who threaten our neighborhoods. ICE will continue to work tirelessly, side by side with our law enforcement partners, to safeguard our communities and uphold the rule of law.”

Barrera-Rosa was initially apprehended by the United States Border Patrol on April 10, 2019, near El Paso, Texas, and served with a notice to appear before a Department of Justice immigration judge. In March 2025, Barrera-Rosa reported his girlfriend, Ramirez, missing to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). On April 5, ICE arrested Barrera-Rosa at the CCSO, and a murder charge was filed against him on April 18, 2025.

Barrera-Rosa’s uncle, Barrera-Barrera, was also apprehended by the United States Border Patrol on April 10, 2019, along with his nephew. He was charged on April 18, 2025, by the CCSO with accessory after the fact of murder. An immigration detainer was placed on Barrera-Barrera with the Charles County Detention Center (CCDC).

Barrera-Barrera is currently being held without bond at CCDC, while Barrera-Rosa is in ICE custody at the Farmville Detention Center in Farmville, Virginia, awaiting extradition to the CCSO for his trial.
