Anderson, S.C. — Three men are facing murder charges after a deadly shooting early Sunday morning at Truth Bar and Grill in Anderson.
According to the Anderson County 911 center, dispatchers received a call just after 3:15 a.m. reporting gunfire at the bar on West Franklin Street. When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Investigators identified the victims as Calvin Chester Jr., who was shot in the head, and Roymad McDaniel, who was shot in the chest. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, and their deaths have been ruled homicides.
First responders said three additional people were treated for injuries at AnMed Health following the shooting. Police determined the violence stemmed from a fight that escalated inside the bar.
On Wednesday, authorities announced the arrests of Kevonn Duval Turner, Jamarcus Harold Brown, and Jamayas Keundae Howard. Each suspect is charged with two counts of murder in connection with the shooting.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing as police continue to review surveillance footage and interview witnesses.
