A Lillington man has been arrested in connection with a reported break-in and vehicle theft in the Cameron area, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
On August 3, deputies responded to a report of a break-in at a residential outbuilding where various items, including a motor vehicle, were stolen.
On August 9, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol located 27-year-old Kevin Wood in Lee County in possession of the stolen vehicle. Wood was taken into custody and charged with felony breaking or entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
Wood was booked into the Lee County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Moore County District Court on August 13.
All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
