ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) — An 18-year-old man and two juveniles were arrested early Wednesday morning following a vehicle theft and police chase in Rocky Hill.

The adult suspect was identified as Kevin Gordon, 18, of Bloomfield. The other two suspects were juveniles aged 17 and 15.

According to police, the incident began around 4:30 a.m. when officers conducting traffic enforcement near the Wethersfield town line spotted a suspicious vehicle on Maple Street with its headlights turned off.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled. Police deployed stop sticks, which successfully blew out the tires, but the vehicle continued driving before coming to a stop in the front yard of a home on Denyelle Drive.

All three occupants fled the scene on foot. Authorities quickly launched a search using K9 units and drones. Tips from eyewitnesses helped track the suspects, who were eventually apprehended near the Hampton Inn and Sagamore Lane.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from West Hartford, and authorities were able to return the stolen property to its rightful owner.

Kevin Gordon faces multiple larceny and motor vehicle charges, while charges for the juveniles are pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
