Kerala Police Officer Among Four Arrested for Robbing Rs 30 Lakh in Karnataka

Shaheer Babu and accomplices posed as ED officials to commit robbery

In a shocking crime, the Karnataka Police have arrested four individuals, including a Kerala Police officer, for allegedly impersonating Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials and robbing Rs 30 lakh from a businessman. The arrested suspects have been identified as Shaheer Babu, a 49-year-old Assistant Sub-Inspector from the Kodungallur police station in Kerala’s Thrissur district, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the robbery.

Along with Babu, three other individuals were arrested: Iqbal Parliya (38) and Sirajuddin Narsh (37), both from Bantwal, and Ansar Bajal (28) from Mangaluru. According to the police, the accused posed as ED officials and carried out the heist, stealing a significant sum of money from the businessman.

The authorities have since launched an extensive investigation into the incident, aiming to uncover further details of the crime and ensure all involved parties are brought to justice.
