Kerala Agent Detained for Forging Travel Documents for Italy

Delhi Police Arrests Rupesh PR for Fake Immigration Scam

by Ananya Mehta

Delhi Police have detained a Kerala-based immigration agent for his involvement in arranging a forged resident permit for an Indian traveler attempting to enter Italy. The case came to light when 25-year-old Dijo Davis was deported after Italian authorities discovered that his permit was fraudulent.

On January 25, after Davis was sent back to India via IGI Airport, police launched an investigation, which led to the filing of an FIR and the initiation of further inquiries. During questioning, Davis revealed that he had paid Rs 8.20 lakh to Rupesh PR, who had promised him both travel and employment opportunities in Italy.

Police traced Rupesh to Kerala, where, under interrogation, he confessed to orchestrating fraudulent immigration schemes. Rupesh, an MBA graduate, admitted to working with other agents to trick individuals by offering them fake overseas job opportunities. He also ran a consultancy in Kerala that specialized in visa services and ticket bookings, further aiding the immigration scam.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to uncover any other individuals involved in this illicit operation.
