Kennith Hayes Mackie Charged in $160K ATM Theft Case

Central Texas man faces burglary, theft, and mischief charges

BELL COUNTY, Texas — A 26-year-old Killeen man, Kennith Hayes Mackie, has been arrested and charged in connection with an early morning ATM burglary that took place at a business west of Temple, Texas.

According to the Bell County Sheriff’s Office, Mackie was taken into custody on a warrant following a multi-agency investigation involving the Waco Police Department, Bell County Sheriff’s Office, and Parker County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation led to formal charges being presented to the Bell County District Attorney.

The burglary occurred on April 12 at a business in the 13300 block of Texas Highway 36. Mackie is currently held in the Parker County Jail, awaiting extradition to Bell County.

Jail records show that Mackie is facing multiple felony charges, including burglary of a building, criminal mischief, and theft of property. His total bond amount exceeds $160,000.

Authorities have not released further details on how the ATM was targeted or whether additional suspects are involved.
