SUFFOLK, VA — Kenneth Walker, a 30-year-old man from Suffolk, was arrested Tuesday, March 31, 2025, in connection with the theft of over $6,000 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s stores across the Hampton Roads area.
The investigation, initiated by the Suffolk Police Department, revealed that Walker had been scanning barcodes of higher-value items at Lowe’s, but paying for items at a lesser price, allowing him to steal the difference. The stolen goods included a variety of items, with total value surpassing $6,000.
On Tuesday, members of the Suffolk Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division secured a search warrant for Walker’s residence, where they were able to recover over $2,000 worth of the stolen merchandise. The recovered items were subsequently returned to Lowe’s.
Walker was arrested and charged with felony larceny with the intent to distribute or sell. Additional charges are expected as investigations continue.
