MECHANICSVILLE, MD — Kenneth James Dickerson, 41, of Mechanicsville, has been charged with two counts each of first- and second-degree assault following a reported armed confrontation outside a Charlotte Hall bar in May 2025, according to St. Mary’s County District Court records.
Deputies responded to a Mechanicsville residence on May 15, where a male victim told Deputy Donaldson that Dickerson had pulled a handgun during an argument outside Heavy Hitters Bar on Three Notch Road. The victim claimed Dickerson unzipped his jacket, drew a black handgun, and pointed it at his forehead, instructing him to leave the premises.
A second victim confirmed seeing the weapon drawn and pointed at both men. Both individuals identified Dickerson by name, with the first victim verifying his identity through a Facebook profile photo that matched his MVA photo.
Deputies attempted several times to contact Dickerson without success. On July 6, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and Dickerson was taken into custody on July 14. He was initially held without bond but was released the following day on his own recognizance after a court hearing.
Dickerson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 21, 2025, in St. Mary’s County District Court.
