SAN ANTONIO — Kendra Noel Manning, a 25-year-old cosplaying social media influencer, was arrested on Saturday after making a bomb threat at the San Japan convention held at the Henry B. González Convention Center.

According to an arrest affidavit, Manning posted a comment on an Instagram story claiming she was planting a bomb in a booth at the event. The comment was reported to convention management by another Instagram user, who alerted law enforcement officers present at the event.

When Manning arrived at the convention, she was denied entry and issued a criminal trespass warning. During questioning, Manning admitted to posting the threatening comment before heading to the convention.

Manning has been charged with making a terroristic threat. She has since been released on bond, according to online jail records.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident as they prioritize safety at public events.
