BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A Baltimore man has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after police say he shot his 21-year-old daughter during a domestic dispute inside their home.

The incident occurred on April 14 at around 9:10 p.m., when officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of West Mulberry Street in response to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, authorities found the young woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital where she received treatment for her injuries. Her current condition has not been publicly released.

The suspect, 40-year-old Kelvin Evans, was identified as the victim’s father. According to investigators, the shooting followed a heated dispute between the two.

Evans was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Central Booking Intake Facility. He is now facing attempted first-degree murder charges, among other potential charges related to the shooting.

Police have not disclosed further details about the motive or what led to the argument.
