PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A former automotive dealership administrator is facing serious charges after authorities uncovered a $75,000 fraud scheme involving company-issued credit cards and over 100 stolen items.

Kelly Marie McKisset, 46, of Port St. Lucie, was arrested by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) on charges of grand theft and scheme to defraud her former employer, a Fort Pierce-based dealership.

According to FDLE, the investigation began in late February after the Fort Pierce Police Department requested assistance in looking into McKisset’s suspicious activities. As the dealership’s Accounts Payable and Receivable Administrator, McKisset was responsible for handling business purchases, writing checks, making deposits, and balancing financial statements.

Over the course of five years, McKisset allegedly used multiple company credit cards to buy Visa gift cards worth approximately $75,000—all for personal use.

On April 10, agents served a search warrant at her residence, uncovering and seizing more than 100 stolen items, including:

Electronics

Furniture

Appliances

Toys

Home goods

Jewelry

Disney merchandise

FDLE says the case will be prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office and remains an active investigation.
