Leonardtown Women Arrested for Theft and Drug Possession at Prince Frederick Walmart
PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — On June 27, 2025, Kelly Greenan, 35, and Lauren Marie Brown, 38, both from Leonardtown, were arrested after being caught stealing from the Walmart on North Solomons Island Road. They now face multiple misdemeanor charges including theft and possession of controlled substances, according to Calvert County District Court documents.
Deputy Deinert of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded following a report of theft in progress. A Walmart Asset Protection employee reported seeing two women placing items into a pink bag and attempting to leave the store without paying. The women were detained and brought back inside, where Greenan dropped a glass pipe commonly used for smoking drugs. Brown initially gave a false name but was later identified and confirmed to have active warrants.
Searches revealed stolen items valued at $306.31, including clothing, lighters, batteries, underwear, and sunscreens. Further inspection uncovered various drugs and paraphernalia: crack cocaine, fentanyl, Xanax, glass pipes, and other related items.
Charges against Greenan include possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia, and theft between $100 and $1,500. Brown faces three counts of possession of controlled substances, paraphernalia possession, and theft.
Greenan was released on her own recognizance the same day, while Brown was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond. The investigation continues as authorities await lab results on the seized substances.
