JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. — Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Keith Watts following a robbery at a food truck in Birmingham.
The incident occurred on October 4, 2025, at a food truck on the 4300 block of Bessemer Superhighway. Officials said a woman was assaulted and robbed and received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries from Shoals Ambulance Service.
Watts was apprehended on November 5, 2025, near 40th Street SW and Park Avenue SW in Birmingham.
Sheriff Mark Pettway praised the deputies’ quick work, saying:
“Great work by our team in getting this suspect off the streets of Jefferson County so quickly. I appreciate the team’s dedication and tenacity, and I also appreciate the unwavering support of our citizens.”
Watts faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and seven counts of felony failure to appear. He is being held at Jefferson County Jail without bond.
