Keith Nash, Others Indicted in $2.6M Walmart Scam

16 indicted for multi-state money order fraud scheme

by Sophia Bennett

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted 16 individuals, including Keith Nash, in connection with a sophisticated $2.6 million money order fraud scheme targeting Walmart locations across Ohio and multiple other states.

The indictment states that from December 2019 to January 2024, the group purchased money orders at Walmart stores—typically ranging from $1,000 to $5,000—and deposited them remotely. They would then return the money orders to the store for full refunds, effectively duplicating the funds.
