SIOUX CENTER, Iowa — A 40-year-old Sioux City woman, Kayleen Sharon Johanna Stallman, was arrested on Friday, April 11 around 4:05 p.m. in Sioux Center on charges related to trespassing and retail theft at Walmart.
According to the Sioux Center Police Department, Stallman was recognized by asset protection agents at Walmart as a known shoplifter. They observed her moving through the store and watched as she allegedly under scanned several items at the self-checkout. She was confronted after passing the final point of sale.
The value of the merchandise involved in the April 11 incident was $91.20. Additionally, Walmart security reported that Stallman had previously stolen items valued at $37.98 just weeks earlier.
Police were presented with a signed document indicating that Stallman had been banned from all Walmart locations, making her presence at the store a first-offense trespassing violation.
Stallman now faces:
One count of first-offense trespassing
Two counts of fifth-degree theft (involving property valued under $300)
The investigation was handled by local law enforcement following the report from Walmart’s loss prevention team.
