Kaylee Turner has been sentenced in connection with the 2022 murder of Seth Wallace in Waynesboro, Virginia. In Waynesboro Circuit Court on Friday, Turner pleaded guilty to first-degree murder as a principal in the second degree, which means she was not the person who directly committed the murder but assisted in its commission.
The actual perpetrator, Dustin Dove, was sentenced to life in prison on the same day for first-degree murder. Turner, who played a supporting role in the crime, received a 30-year sentence with 18 years and six months suspended. This means she will serve 11.5 years in prison. Following her release, Turner will be under supervised probation for five years.
Turner had also faced a charge for use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. However, that charge was dropped under a “nolle prosequi” motion, meaning the prosecution chose not to proceed with the charge but without declaring her not guilty.
The case drew widespread attention in the community, and Friday’s court proceedings concluded a significant chapter in the investigation into Seth Wallace’s tragic death.
