Kaushambi police on Sunday arrested Suman Prakash, a criminal wanted by Charwa police in connection with the murder of a minor boy.
Suman, a resident of Ratgaha, had been evading authorities for seven months and carried a cash reward of Rs 15,000 on his head.
The case dates back to August 19, 2025, when the boy was allegedly killed while returning from a doctor’s visit. His grandmother, Ramni, filed an FIR on August 20, 2025, naming six suspects, including Suraj, Vijay, Rohit, and others. Five of them were arrested earlier, while Suman remained at large.
In a separate operation, Paschim Sarira police arrested a notorious thief, Saleem Ahmed, a resident of Ugrasenpur, and recovered a TV set, a sound system, and Rs 5,360 in cash. Ahmed had five pending criminal cases against him.
Authorities confirmed that both arrests were made on Sunday, strengthening efforts to curb local crime.
