HOPEWELL, NY — On May 27, 2025, 25-year-old Karrim G. Bouchet of Rochester was arrested by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at SP Canandaigua on charges of first-degree robbery (B felony) and third-degree grand larceny (D felony).
Bouchet allegedly robbed the AT&T store on Recreation Drive in the town of Hopewell by threatening employees with a firearm and forcing them to open the safe. He reportedly stole over $15,000 worth of cell phones and accessories.
State Police investigators and the SP Waterloo Uniform Force identified and apprehended Bouchet in Waterloo, NY, within two hours of the robbery.
Following his arrest, Bouchet was processed at the SP Canandaigua barracks and remanded to Ontario County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 bond after a centralized arraignment.
