HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Kara Walker, 17, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury after her 8-year-old brother died from sustained abuse. Walker’s boyfriend, Nolan Stallings, 18, was also charged in connection with the child’s death following his arrest in March.

Court documents reveal that the young boy was subjected to severe abuse and torture over several days at a home in the 100 block of Greendell Street. On February 10, deputies responded to a hospital in Baytown where the child was admitted with numerous injuries consistent with abuse.

Despite medical efforts, the boy’s condition worsened, and he tragically passed away days later. Authorities determined that the abuse caused his death.

Walker, the boy’s older sister, and Stallings were both charged with injury to a child with serious bodily injury. Walker’s bond was set at $100,000, while Stallings faces a $1,000,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing as the community mourns this heartbreaking loss.
