In a swift and successful operation, the Kanod Police cracked a high-profile burglary case at Anupam Electrical Store within just 48 hours, leading to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of stolen jewelry and cash.
The well-organized gang meticulously planned the heist, targeting the shop’s locker, which contained gold, silver jewelry, and cash worth lakhs. The breakthrough came after technical surveillance, CCTV analysis, and continuous field investigations carried out by the Kanod Police team, led by Udaipur District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal.
The case was registered on March 16, 2025, after Laxmilal Mehta, the shop owner, filed a complaint. He reported that he had locked his shop at 6:30 PM on March 15, only to be informed at 4:00 AM the following morning by a neighbor that the shop’s shutter was open.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the thieves had used sophisticated tools to break into the shop and steal:
Rs 2.50 lakh in cash
150 kg of pledged silver ornaments
20 tolas (200 grams) of gold jewelry
The police then registered a case under Section 305 BNS (Burglary and Theft) and launched an extensive investigation.
Given the severity of the crime, Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal formed a special investigation team under the leadership of Additional SP Anjana Sukhwal, DSP Rajendra Singh Jain, and SHO Mukesh Chandra Khatik.
After an intensive 48-hour operation, the police successfully arrested three prime suspects from remote jungle hideouts:
Laxman Lal Rawat (20) – Resident of Sisodia Ka Guda, Udaipur
Kalulal Bhoy (45) – Resident of Brahmpuri, Kanod
Kishanlal Meena (19) – Resident of Nichla Guda, Lasadiya
