The R.S. Puram Police have arrested three men and a woman in connection with a honey-trapping and robbery case targeting an IT firm owner. The victim was reportedly lured into a trap and robbed of Rs1.30 lakh and other valuables.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
A. Kannappan, resident of Vedasandur, Dindigul district
P. Srilakshmanan, resident of Theni
S. Prasana, resident of Nammakkal
M. Lavanya, resident of Valparai
Police are investigating the modus operandi and whether the accused were part of a larger network targeting professionals in the city. The arrested have been remanded to judicial custody.
