The Excise department’s State Task Force (STF) conducted coordinated raids on Saturday across Ameerpet, Kachiguda, and Quthbullapur, seizing illegal drugs valued at approximately Rs4.36 lakh and arresting four accused.

In Dilsukhnagar, Kaniskh Kevin was apprehended with 113 LSD blots and 16 grams of OG Kush marijuana. Originally a student at an IIT in Delhi, Kevin reportedly developed a drug addiction, which led to academic setbacks. After relocating to Hyderabad and enrolling in a hotel management course, he allegedly continued using and selling LSD sourced from Delhi.

Along with Kevin, three others — M Deepak Kumar, Mohammad Siraj, and Jatin — are named in the case. The seized narcotics and accused were handed over to the Kachiguda Excise Station for further investigation.

In a separate incident, Nerugonda Sai was caught near the Renuka Yellamma and Pochamma temples in Quthbullapur with nine LSD blots. A case has been registered, and he was handed to the local excise station.

Another arrest involved Deshik, a Hyderabad resident originally from Bengaluru. Acting on a tip-off, STF caught him attempting to sell 4.69 grams of MDMA on Road No. 3, Banjara Hills. Deshik allegedly procured the drugs from a Nigerian dealer in Bengaluru and resold them in Hyderabad. He and the seized MDMA were handed over to the Ameerpet Excise Station.
