STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) — A 22-year-old woman, Kamilah Maciel, has been arrested in connection with the sex trafficking of a minor who was previously reported missing from Stephens County.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) confirmed that Maciel was taken into custody after investigators discovered an online sex advertisement featuring explicit images of the underage girl.
Authorities allege that Maciel not only photographed the child inappropriately but also played a direct role in trafficking her. She currently faces serious charges, including human trafficking of a minor and possession of child pornography.
Investigators say the case is still ongoing, and additional charges or arrests may follow as the investigation expands.
The child involved in the case has since been found and is reported to be safe.
