GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WLBT) – A traffic stop for careless driving and improper equipment on I-55 near the Gluckstadt Road exit led to the arrest of Kaleb Kohl Washington on Sunday for possessing a stolen firearm.
According to the Gluckstadt Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle just north of the exit and discovered a stolen gun during the stop. The weapon had been reported stolen out of Jackson.
Washington, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken into custody on charges of stolen gun possession and is currently awaiting his appearance in Gluckstadt Municipal Court.
Police shared details of the arrest on social media and confirmed that further investigation is ongoing.
