In a swift response to recent burglaries, Kalapathar Police have solved a burglary case that was reported on Thursday, arresting Mohd. Noorullah Hussain (alias Noor), a 25-year-old AC technician from Chandrayangutta. The police allege that Noor broke into a house and stole valuables worth approximately Rs 1.4 lakh. Following a complaint, the police launched an investigation and arrested him.
Meanwhile, the Karkhana Police also made a significant arrest in a separate burglary case. On Saturday, they apprehended Y G Kalyan Kumar, a courier boy from Bowenpally, for allegedly breaking into a house and stealing valuables worth Rs 10 lakh. Police managed to recover all the stolen goods, and Kumar was identified through CCTV footage collected from the crime scene.
In a separate operation, the Task Force (South-East) team, in collaboration with GHMC and Food Safety officials, arrested three individuals involved in a fraudulent water bottle scam. The suspects—Mohd Sajjad, Syed Siraj, and Salam Bin Naseer-un-Naqeeb—were found running a water bottling operation without the necessary BIS, Trading License, or FSSAI approval. They were caught interchanging branded water bottles and selling water with dangerously low TDS levels, which could pose a health risk. The authorities seized water bottles worth Rs 3.3 lakh, and the arrested individuals, along with the seized material, were handed over to GHMC officials for further action.
