PRICEVILLE, AL — Two women from Clarksville, Tennessee, were arrested early Saturday morning after a traffic stop on I-65 led to the discovery of multiple drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to the Priceville Police Department (PPD).
The arrest occurred on August 23 around 1 a.m. near mile marker 334. The driver and passenger were identified as Kaitlyn Renea Darnell, 31, and Kathy Sublett, 63.
Following the traffic stop, officers initiated a narcotics investigation, uncovering marijuana, a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Both women were taken to the Morgan County Jail.
During the booking process, jail staff discovered that Darnell had concealed drug paraphernalia in her undergarments. She is facing multiple charges including:
Unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute
Second-degree promoting prison contraband
Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Felony warrant hold for motor vehicle theft from Guntersville Police
Kathy Sublett was charged with:
Trafficking in dangerous drugs
Second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana
Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
Bond was set at $80,300 for Darnell and $105,300 for Sublett by a Morgan County Circuit Judge.
